Internship program

Sage Girl Internship Program

Sage Girl welcomes applications from college students interested in empowering girls in our local and global communities.

Based in Hunterdon County, Sage Girl supports girl-positive programs because we believe girls have so much to offer the world. Our programs provide experiential learning opportunities, which support, prepare, and advance girls’ confidence and visibility as leaders.

As a small non-profit, we seek innovative and motivated volunteers interested in working with a community of girl activists. We currently have the following internship / volunteer opportunities available:

• Administrative / Office Management: general administrative tasks, programmatic support for sage girl initiatives, and/or assistance with website development, social media, and promotional materials.

• Program Development: work with staff to research, organize, and implement girl-centered initiatives and activities which promote and increase visibility of the organization in the local community; facilitate discussion groups and/or activist projects with Sage Girl members; assist with marketing of activities, projects, and opportunities.

• Special Events & Fundraisers: assist staff in managing special events or initiatives for girls (including conferences, fundraisers, 5K’s, etc.).

• Research: project and/or grant specific research to identify and highlight potential funders, collaborative efforts, and innovative projects for girls; maintain file on current research, studies, and approaches to girls and girlhood that include the submission of reports which summarize relevant material and findings; work with staff to develop, implement, and evaluate current programming initiatives.
